Students were assigned to complete an activity in which they had to unscramble sentences in teams. So each member of the team contributed to accomplish the task in order to get the extra point for being one of the third teams to do it first. But at the end I decided all of them deserved the extra point due to the effort they put on the activity. They were very involved. However, I realized that for some teams were easy and they completed in a session and for other teams took 2 sessions.

This is always a fun way of looking at grammar - even if it can take quite a lot of time to prepare beforehand. Why do you think there was such a big difference between how long it took the different groups to complete the task?
ReplyDeleteIn think that the main reason is that those students are the irregulars or lower ones, I mean, they miss many classes because they have to work, or sometimes they just skip all the classes. The sad thing about this is that the problem is not only in my class, few students are not committed to school.
